New Feature - Conditional Redirection in Website URL QR Code

Scanova has enhanced the Website URL QR Code category with the all-new Conditional Redirection feature.

You're probably accustomed to redirecting your end-users to a specific webpage, social profile, or video URL upon scan.

With this new feature, you can now redirect users to specific URLs based on the following conditions:  

  • Country of user
  • Device type of user (mobile, tablet, etc.)
  • Operating system of the scanning device (Android, iOS)

You can access this feature via the Website URL > Advanced Settings > Conditional Redirection section.


Note: This feature is only available to Scanova users with Pro or Enterprise subscription.

QR Code Trends 2021: Get Free Report

New Feature - Export QR Code Data

Scanova now has a new feature—Export QR Code Data.

Previously, you were accustomed to requesting the QR Code data via our customer support channel.

With this new feature, you can now export all data associated with QR Codes (in CSV) such as the QR ID, Name, Category, QR Type, Tags, Short URL, etc. via the dashboard, making it convenient for you to compile and analyze the data.

You can view this feature via the My QR Codes > Export QR Code Data button.

Enhancement: Analytics Permissions

Scanova has added the following new permissions to the Permissions > Analytics section: 

  • Cannot view IP address: You can now restrict the user’s ability to view the IP address data in the Export Scan Data file
  • Cannot view exact GPS location: You can now restrict the user’s ability to view the latitude, longitude, and address data in the Export Scan Data file
  • Cannot view physical location: You can now restrict the user’s ability to view the area code, city, country code, country name, postal code, region, continent code, and address data in the Export Scan Data file

You can access this feature via Settings > Create User Role > Permissions > Analytics section.

Important Note: This feature is only applicable to Enterprise users who have enabled the Custom User Roles feature.

Enhancement: RSVP

Scanova has added the following new capabilities to the RSVP feature in Event and Wedding QR Code categories: 

  • Add RSVP by: You can now specify the RSVP by date, ensuring that guests accept/decline the invite by the specified date
  • Specify email to receive responses on: You can now specify the user email address to receive RSVP responses 
  • No. of additional guests allowed: The maximum allowed guest limit has been increased to 50 guests
  • Answer Type: You can now choose the answer format from the following options – Multiple Choice, Paragraph

    Additionally, you can now also customize the look and feel of the RSVP section using the Form Formatting feature.

    To use this feature on the landing page, simply click on RSVP from the list of available options:

Enhancement: Custom Form

Scanova has improved the capability of designing landing pages with a new component—Custom Form.

When designing landing pages (such as Custom Page QR Code, Product QR Code, etc.), you can now add a custom form and collect the form data from the end-users upon scan.

To add this component on the landing page, simply click on Custom Form in the list of available components:

You can download the data submitted by the end-users via My QR Codes > QR Code page > Download Data > Custom Form option.



Additionally, you can now also customize the look and feel of the Custom Form via the following new sub-component—Form Formatting.

You can access this feature via the QR Code category > Enter Content page.

Enhancement: Event Schedule

Scanova has added the following new capabilities to the Event Schedule component: 

  • All-day event: You can now skip entering the event end date (if required)
  • Time Format: Choose the time displayed on the landing page in 24 Hours or 12 Hours format
  • Repeat event: If enabled, the end-users will be able to save a recurring event in their calendar
  • Separator: You can now separate the timing and the ‘Add to Calendar’ button using a separator

Enhancement: Event Venue

Scanova has added the ability to support online events along with physical events in the Event Venue component.

When designing landing pages (such as Wedding QR Code, Event QR Code), you can now add an online event link, which would allow the end-users to attend the event virtually.

You can view this feature via the QR Code category > Enter Content page.

New Feature - User Permissions by Tags

Scanova now has a new Enterprise feature—User Permissions by Tags.

If you've used the Custom User Roles feature, you're probably accustomed to creating customized user roles based on permissions and assigning those roles to invited users.

With this new feature, you can now invite users and make only specific QR Codes visible as per assigned tags.

You can view this feature via the Settings > Invite Users page.
